"Imagination is the divine body of the Lord; it is the eternal reality from which all things spring."
--William Blake
From 2011 to 2015, I worked in construction and felt stuck. Every day on the job, I listened to self-help audiobooks like Think and Grow Rich, How to Win Friends and Influence People, and many others. Over time, I developed what some might call an irrational level of optimism—but it gave me a new perspective on life and opportunity.
Rich Dad Poor Dad sparked my interest in real estate. After work one day, I picked up a few local newspapers and called every “We Buy Houses” investor advertising in the area. There were only three, and none were hiring or willing to share their “secret sauce.” So, I turned to Craigslist.
That’s where I got lucky. A national real estate investment firm was hiring. Despite not meeting their requirements—no degree, no formal sales background—I applied anyway, fueled by the confidence those self-help books had instilled in me.
Against the odds, I landed a role as a Business Development Consultant. Overnight, I went from jeans and work boots to a suit and tie.
After a few years, I transitioned to an Acquisitions Specialist role within the same company to gain more hands-on experience. I knocked on foreclosure doors, cold called, ran SMS campaigns, sent postcards—you name it. It was full-scale real estate hustle, and I loved it.
That experience taught me the value of marketing, so I began building websites at night as a freelance web developer. Eventually, I transitioned to full-time freelancing in pursuit of lifestyle freedom. (Fun fact: I’m literally coding this site right now.)
Then life threw another curveball—one of my eCommerce sites got hacked. For two weeks, I was in a panic, wondering what had been stolen or lost. That led me to pursue a job in cybersecurity. Once again, despite lacking formal qualifications, I landed the role. I was literally walking into companies, using my charm and sales skills to legally test their security systems.
Three years later, I found my way back to real estate by getting licensed. Today, I work as a National Referral Agent, Sponsor, Investor, and I’m passionate about helping agents navigate the ever-changing landscape of real estate through the power of modern technology.
Total nerd that loves building automations, reading, gaming, riding motorcycles and all the regular dude stuff.
